Between April 1-6 2009, The Pacific Cinemateque in Vancouver is presenting a four film retrospective of the films of Miklos Jancso, one of Hungary’s best-known film directors. Jancso has been called “Hungary’s greatest living film-maker” and is the recipient of many international awards, including Best Director at Cannes and the Golden Lion at Venice. The films being shown are The Round-Up, The Red and the White, Red Psalm, and Silence and Cry.
